CAPLIFI GROUND TRUTH

Caplifi field venture · Agriculture

Field measurement you can defend.

Ground Truth turns what your fields already record into measurement you own and verification you can hand to anyone who asks.

A Caplifi field venture, not another closed ag dashboard. Sensors on your land, a gateway you control, and records that hold up when someone asks how you knew.

What Ground Truth is

The farm produces crops. It also produces evidence.

Moisture, rainfall, irrigation, inputs, equipment activity, and yield context: most operations already generate this telemetry. Ground Truth makes it legible, permissioned, and verifiable instead of trapped in vendor silos.

The operating model pairs a working farm with a data layer: a living reference site that produces both food and credentialed measurement. That dual output is what makes the venture legible to growers, conservation programs, and institutional buyers who need numbers they can audit.

Soil moisture probe and field gateway
Edge probes and a local gateway. Measurement stays on your side of the headgate — the control point stays on the farm.

How it works

Field infrastructure on Caplifi's gate-and-record spine.

Probes and gateways run behind the same permission gate ALMI uses: append-only records, owner-held keys, no vendor custody of your telemetry.

01 · Capture

Edge telemetry

Probes and field instruments log moisture, weather, and operational events at the plot boundary.

02 · Gateway

Local aggregation

A gateway on your land time-stamps readings and applies permission rules before anything leaves the farm.

03 · Verify

Defensible record

Season reports, subscription feeds, and attested exports built on Caplifi Verify's measurement record.

Services

What growers and districts can buy.

Field moisture subscription

Per-field monitoring with probe install, local gateway, and a grower-owned dashboard. Priced monthly per field.

Season verification report

Reconcile rainfall, irrigation logs, and telemetry into an end-of-season record for buyers, insurers, or drainage districts.

Pilot & demo plots

Instrumented reference beds for extension, FFA, grant-funded research, and neighbor grower workshops.

The stack behind it

Field moisture probes at the plot edge · measurement lineage recorded through Caplifi Verify · audit-ready exports using ALMI's attestation patterns.

What the deck adds

Farmer-owned data economics, permissioned sharing, and the gap between vendor-captured telemetry and grower value.

  • Ag IoT market projected ~10.5% CAGR through 2030 (industry estimates). Demand for connected field systems is already here.
  • Blockchain-in-ag traceability ~41% CAGR (industry estimates). Buyers want verified provenance, not spreadsheet claims.
  • Most field data today is lost or owned by equipment vendors; Ground Truth keeps custody with the operator.
  • Revenue model: permissioned data access and verification services, not blind resale of farmer telemetry.

Start with one instrumented field.

Pilots begin with a small probe install and a season of verified moisture, enough to prove the measurement stack before scaling subscriptions or district engagements.
